The LeBron James bio reads like a sports inspired fairy tale. Born December 30, 1984 in Akron, Ohio, the Cleveland native made his start on local courts only to be drafted by his home team, the Cavs in 2003 for an unprecedented out of high school NBA contract and 90 million dollar shoe deal with Nike.

But before he was a mega millionaire and LeBron James shoes were being made specifically for his feet he was playing high school ball for St. Mary High School where he was the starting small forward. His team the Fighting Irish immediately were blown away by his talent after ending the first year with an average of 20 points and 6 rebounds with no loses. Sophomore year he was named Mr. Basketball and helped win the Division III state title. He was also picked to play for the USA Today All-USA team and the first HS sophomore to do so.

By senior year, he was given a Hummer H2 for his 18th birthday by his mom that sprung an OHSAA investigation onto whether or not he was illegally given a gift.
